World Tour 2010

March 14, 2010

Begins at the “Carter Town” hunting lodge, where Milton Sr. graciously put me up and showed me around.

His “Museum of Junk” is in a house, that is in a vast shed.  Or you could say the museum has a whole house inside of it.

Then on to Key West Florida

New MOMO Maker Draws

January 21, 2010

I’m working on a project I can tell you about soon.  To generate designs for it, I’ve snapped together a ‘Maker that combines drawings.  I’ve saved/printed around 200.  I like it because its incomplete, just a sketch.  I could render each form in any color, in or out of focus, with spray gun, torn paper, masked house paint, or just the thin black lines.  See the Drawing ‘Maker working here (it’s large, you’ll need to “zoom-out”).

Javier Abarca

January 2, 2010

Javier Abarca is a writer and educator on topics of Graffiti & Post-Graffiti.  His extensive collection of essays at is a must, and it translates easily with  google translate, (I’m guessing that’s because his use of Spanish is perfect.)

Now you can also explore the English version of the site and rss feed, which he launched last month.  (His English is also perfect.)

Besides writing for books and magazines, Javier gives lectures and workshops (including a permanent workshop in urban art for the Fine Arts Faculty, Universidad Complutense de Madrid:

Bethnal Green Road

December 16, 2009

Nelly Duff has a new kind of MOMO edition.  I’ve meticulously cut out 20 collages like I’d used near Bethnal Green Rd in London, and arranged them on distressed wood, to match the color of the original wall, but 1/10 the size.

“Bethnal Green Rd.” 2009, painted acid free paper collage on wood, Edition of 20, 24cm x 30cm signed & numbered on the back.  £ 150 here
